Rodney Newman is a film editor, musician/drummer, composer, sound designer, writer, father, amateur photographer, and outdoorsman. He was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, has dabbled in some Colorado, and thrived for a number of years in Southern Africa. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California cutting and producing theatrical trailers by day while performing music, exploring the wild, and savoring time with his two girls whenever possible.

Rodney performs in and manages the band Jerry’s Middle Finger (JMF), an ensemble that celebrates the music of the Jerry Garcia Band. He is also is actively writing, recording, and performing original music. The Knuckles is a collaboration with long time friend and musical counterpart Garrett Deloian. While living overseas Rodney recorded an EP titled Slowpoke.
